Routes 28, 130 and 151 carry most of Mashpee's traffic. Route 28 and Route 151 cross at Mashpee Commons, an early example of the New Urbanism style, with shops and apartments around a walkable center. Mashpee is the only Cape town that never had a railroad built to it.
